North Buckhead Security Patrol

Over 235 North Buckhead families signed up as Sponsors of the North Buckhead Security Patrol. As a result, the Security Patrol launched on January 1, 2026. Current coverage is four days per week. The patrols are staffed by off-duty APD police officers who drive an APD vehicle. The patrol route includes the homes of all Sponsors. In addition, all Sponsors receive the patrol’s mobile phone number for the phone provided to the patrolling officer while on patrol (in an emergency, ALWAYS call 911 first before calling the officer on patrol.) Sponsors are also eligible for special services, such as home checks while out of town.

NBCA Annual Meeting 

The 2026 NBCA Annual Meeting was held on April 23 at 6:00 PM at St James United Methodist Church. It was a great meeting featuring information about all the great stuff in the works for North Buckhead. Also, NBCA inaugurated the NBCA Public Service Award for individuals who have made significant contributions to improving North Buckhead. The recipients were Jim Durrett, former head of BCID, and former Councilman Howard Shook.
